KATIE'S MINISTRY TIMELINE
2009- Intentionally invested into the community life for a floor of primarily freshmen girls at my University who were the next generation of leaders at our school
2010- First started to volunteer with Middle School Ministries at Lake Avenue Church as a camp counselor, absolutely loved the students, and kept coming back
2011-2012- Interned at Lake Avenue Church with the Middle School program
2012- Graduated from Biola University with a Bachelors of Science in Speech Pathology, with a minor in Biblical Studies
2012- Served at University Covenant Church in Davis, CA in an internship program with the Junior High program
2013- Went on my first short term missions trip with UCC to the Navajo Nation with Next Step Ministries
2013- Left for Kona, HI for a YWAM Discipleship Training School through their Community Transformation School
2014- Lived and served in an urban slum in Cape Town, South Africa for the outreach portion of our DTS
2014- Was trained in Church planting by All Nations & trained in Discovery Bible Model by YWAM school in Muizenburg, South Africa
2014- Was hired as the Middle School Ministry Coordinator at Lake Avenue Church
2014- Attended Christian Community Development Association's National Conference- Raleigh, North Carolina
2014- Moved into the Harambee Community in Northwest Pasadena to live intentionally with other Christians to serve our city
2014- Was involved with a Coalition of Clergy that work with city officials & non-profits to collaborate together and pray for our city
2015- Started the Masters in Global Leadership Masters Degree online through Fuller Theological Seminary
2015- Attended Christian Community Development Association's National Conference- Memphis, Tennessee
2015- Was asked to join staff for the A Life Together DTS through YWAM with the missionaries I served with in South Africa
2015-2017- Continued to work full-time at Lake Avenue Church, and build a team of ministry partners (in prayer + finances)
2017- Moved to Cape Town to be on staff with the A Life Together DTS
2018- Got married + honeymooned (!!)
2018- Transitioned to be on staff with the Staff Development Team, serving the YWAM Muizenberg Base
