Colorado Springs, CO

A month ago I had the incredible privilege to spend two weeks for my Masters studies in Colorado Springs along with the other 27 students who flew in from around the world!

Each of us are in full-time ministry, and to pursue education on top of our work is quite the task, yet we have professors who are incredible, and for those two weeks they ministered to us-- they encouraged, empowered, prayed, and worshiped with us... we got to live life together- we ate meals, roomed together, played in the snow... Our time together felt like worship, and it was truly a glimpse into heaven as in that space we shared stories of how we've experienced God around the world!

Our time was a reminder of all the reasons God has called me to do this- for this group of people will walk through some crucial years of ministry with me, which is invaluable!

Our program is very unique- specifically tailored for those in full-time ministry, and beyond the stigma of online learning- there is very little lectures, but instead we have very active conversations between our cohort on forums. This means that we will continue on our journey together through our active discussions of readings and sharing from our experiences to give a global perspective of our readings. We continue this for the next two years together, with another two weeks together in person in the Summer of 2017-- I can't wait for that reunion!

The song I attached is "Good, Good Father" by Housefires, which is a band one of my cohort mates pastors at the church for-- it is such a powerful song, and I hope you are encouraged by it as I have been!
